In the Season 7 episode "Star Struck" Terri agrees to marry a guy on their first date. Given how level headed Terri is generally supposed to be, doesn't that seem wildly out of character for her? Yeah, Dennis Cole was gorrrrgeous, and I can totally see why she would date him, but no level of good looks would convince a sensible woman to marry a man she barely knows. If I understood the timeline correctly, he proposed the day after they met, and set their wedding for less than a week afterward.

In my experience, the more level-headed women are prone to losing it over pure lust than other women. Don't know why, doesn't make sense, that's just what I see.

It's tough to write farce with nuanced (not broad stereotype) characters. They sort of fade into the background, and these out-of-character moments ring false. In avoiding the "dumb blonde" role, Terri's character was all over the place. By the last episode of the series, she was literally only there to support Jack and Janet story lines and had zero individual personality. I like Terri a lot, and I think Priscilla did an amazing job with what they gave her, but for the reasons above she never had the same comedic impact for me that Suzanne Somers/Chrissy Snow did. |

I wished they given her a lot more to do. I'm glad she avoided the dumb blonde stereotype. OMG!! I can't stand that type of character now.
