Searching thru Netflix because I'm doing the Doug Benson 366Movies Challenge, I came up with this documentary called My Friend Rockefeller. Apparently it's about the Christopher Chichester case from Unsolved Mysteries. It looks so far very professional and I'm going to check it out and discuss it later but I just want to give the heads up about it.

I liked this doc... it doesn't spend that much time on the era in which the murders were committed though - it goes into a lot of detail on the life/lives he created between then and when he went to prison.
I wish there were more high quality docs on Netflix involving UM-type cases. |

I remember watching a Dateline NBC episode titled "Buried Secrets" back in 2012. I was recovering from hernia surgery and I laid on the couch and watched the entire thing. Linda's friend Sue and Linda's sister Kathy were interviewed in the episode just as they were in the UM episode. I think Linda's mother was interviewed too. I am glad Gerhartsreiter is were he belongs. Maybe someday he'll reveal what happened to Linda, but that might be wishful thinking.

I'm currently listening to My Favorite Murder Podcast episode 30 and they're talking about this documentary. It's funny I saw this while listening. I might watch the Documentary now.

I saw the documentary. It was pretty good although it really covers the time after the death of the Sohus and they do so intentionally. It was really great what they try to accomplish in showing you how a guy like that was able to con people and how people are so gullible. It reminds me of how people bring up the Liz Carmichael thing here. It's brutal when they finally get to the case. UM fans who are aware of the case should check it out especially being in the other side of it.
