Default Why is Pop TV not focusing on classic sitcoms these days?

Ever since TV Guide Channel became Pop TV I've noticed that they have adopted a new image and part of this new image is that they have stopped showing classic sitcoms and I would like to know the reason for this? Is it because with this name change Pop TV hopes to become successful and be a hit channel? Take for instance every time I have searched through Pop TV's channel listings I have seen nothing but Beverly Hills 90210 Baywatch reruns of the game show Celebrity Name Game and reruns of yesterday's episodes of The Young And The Restless and The Bold And The Beautiful and the only sitcom that Pop TV shows is That 70's Show and it's a shocking surprise because Pop TV could add classic sitcoms like Gimme A Break 227 The Cosby Show Night Court Major Dad and many other classic sitcoms instead of movies and reality shows. I remember when Pop TV was TV Guide Channel they had The Love Boat being shown every Sunday morning but now that it is crowned Pop TV you no longer see classic sitcoms like The Love Boat and now it's replaced by reality shows and movies
Do you think classic sitcoms would be great to see on Pop TV one day?

When it was the TV Guide Network, I was jealous because I didn't have it. Because it looked like it had a lot of good classic shows. Then when I finally got the channel, it turned into Pop TV. They could air a lot of classic sitcoms that aren't being shown anywhere else. I love your suggestion of Gimme A Break. I used to love that show. I doubt if it would play The Cosby Show. I don't think any channel will ever play that again and it's sad. I loved The Cosby Show and I still do. I guess I'll just have to watch my DVDs. But Pop TV definitely needs an overhaul!

I agree! I stopped watching it after they made the change.

Ive noticed brady bunch recently did air on POP but i guess it is pulled. Are we notified that Sabrina the Teenage Witch is airing, replacing brady bunch slots? Some of these cases are movies.
