James28 Member Forum 3000 Club Member Join Date: Apr 14, 2007 Posts: 3,978	*Why wasn't "Newhart" Moved to 9:00 PM Upon "MASH"'s Ending?** I just wanted to ask this: Considering the bad reputation that AfterMASH always got, why couldn't CBS have given Newhart the 9:00 PM timeslot for the 1983-84 season with AfterMASH as its lead-out? If that happened, Kate & Allie would have been given the 9:30 PM timeslot once AfterMASH wrapped its first season in March of 1984. It wasn't until the fall of 1986 that Newhart was slotted at 9:00 PM.
