Animated, mostly. I also love Universal classic monster flicks from the 30s to the 60s, and Hammer Horror.

Horror is my favorite genre, I know, shocking. I love everything from current all the way back to the Silents. I enjoy all kinds from the bigger budget to the super low budget shot in their backyard schlockfests, zombies, slashers, monster, supernatural, anthologies, the classics from Universal, Val Lewton, Hammer, Amicus, and any thing from the likes of Roger Corman, HG Lewis, William Castle. I'm a sucker for evil kids, killer animals, creepy crawlies, haunted house/ghosts, over the top gore, super cheesy, or atmospheric slow-burners, from all countries, as long as it entertains me.

Scifi is another favorite. Big budget, low budget.

Action movies, mainly from the 70s and 80s, though I'm open to all decades. Also a huge fan of the Italian Crime Thrillers from the 70's. Martial arts movies.

Comedy, from the Silents, to now, huge fan of comedies from the 30's through 60's. Abbott & Costello, Martin & Lewis, the Blondie movies, Ma and Pa Kettle, Bob Hope, Don Knotts, and the list goes on.

Arthouse films, the surreal, Bergman, Godard, Bunel, French new wave, the weirder the better. Lynch, mainly his early stuff, same as Cronnenberg. The Indie stuff from the 90's and older: John Waters, Paul Morrissey, Paul Bartel, Hal Hartley.

Exploitation, sexploitation, blaxploitation, any of the 'ploitations, stuff that played at drive-ins (before they became all mainstream), 42nd street theaters. Anything from Jungle Cannibal flicks of the 70's to the Italian Mad Max rip offs of the 80's.

Fantasy, from Lord Of The Rings to the low budget countless sword & sorcery flicks that came out in the 80's after the success of Ahnold as Conan.

Documentaries: from movie related documentaries like Not Quite Hollywood: The Wild, Untold Story of Ozploitation! to stuff like Grey Gardens, My Brothers Keeper, the early films of Errol Morris.

Animated movies: Earlier Disney, Ralph Bakshi films, most of the CG animated movies.

I love tracking down the obscure, the lesser known the better, especially stuff from the 70's and 80's, something about these decades fascinate me. The more challenging to find the better, not listed on IMDB? Yes please. Yes, most of these are forgotten for a reason, but some really are hidden gems.

Horror - the frightening scary parts, not so much the gore.
Action - car chases, shoot outs, people on the run, etc.
Comedy - I like the slightly older comedies with Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, Steve Guttenberg, Goldie Hawn, Teri Garr, Beverly D'Angelo etc.
