"Glee" alumna Jessalyn Gilsig has joined the cast, taking over the role of Jake’s new wife Vanessa, played by Joelle Carter at the end of the fifth season, Deadline’s sister pub TVLine reports. Carter won’t be able to return due to her subsequent series regular commitment on NBC’s "Chicago Justice", according to TVLine.
