TNT Renews "The Last Ship" for Season 4

TNT is re-enforcing its original drama slate by picking up "The Last Ship" for another season. The network announced the renewal Sunday during the Television Critics' Association fall previews.

The Eric Dane series, based on the William Brinkley novel of the same name, is about the crew of a Navy war ship that becomes some of the only survivors of a global catastrophe.

Season 4 will consist of 13 episodes and premiere next summer.

"The Last Ship" Renewed for Season 5

"The Last Ship" will sail until at least 2018. The summer hit post-apocalyptic drama has been renewed for a fifth season, TNT announced Thursday.

"The Last Ship" was already renewed for Season 4 in July, so this is actually more of an extension than a renewal. The fourth and fifth seasons will each have 10 episodes.

The Season 3 finale airs Sunday, Sept. 11 at 9/8c on TNT.
