Sad most disappointing series finale

we've defenietly covered the topic of best series finale enough times to know everyone agrees that Mary Tyler Moore Show and Mash had great finales, but what about the show that had disapointing fianles?

so this topic is dedicated to all thoes shows that had DISSAPOINTING SERIES FINALES!

in my opinon, the following series finales were dissapointing:

Wings
The Nanny
Punky Brewster (the one when the show was canceled from NBC and sold into Syndication)
Facts of life (love the show, but this episode left lots to be desired)
90210 (why so much about matt?)
blossom and
Melrose place

and the ultimate...

SEINFIELD, couldn't they come up with something a bit more creative and well, entertaining... this episode just sucked! (sorry if we can't say that word.)

Th Dick Van Dyke Show, it was just like a regular episode would've been, it's like we were following these people for 5 years and then we just stopped! I didn;'t like that

Cool

The Wings finale was a bit disappointing. I still love the show though.

I have 2....

The Lucy Show ( the 60s Lucy ). For the last show before the series became Here's Lucy they should have brought back Viv and the kids ( Jerry & Chris and Viv's Sherman ) as it was the Last Lucy show was just another series.

I said this elsewhere but kinda wished there was a last Peanuts. I heard there was but thats all, I am sure its just one of those tv rumors. Maybe a " Goodbye Charlie Brown " with the kids getting older and going their own ways. Say have Linus finally giving up his blanket or Lucy finally allowing Charlie Brown to kick the football. Maybe have a scene where the little red haired girl and Charlie Brown kiss each other. Heck even have Snoopy tie the know with Woostock as best man ( or bird ). I know it sounds corny but hey its Peanuts.

Last... have the cast say thanks to readings and viewers for their support over the years.

The most disappointing series finale I have ever seen would have to be that of ABC's "The Wonder Years". Granted, TWY is one of my favorite television shows of all time, but I hated the fact that (1) Kevin lost his car while gambling with the gang at the resort where Winnie worked, and (2) it was unclear what happened between Kevin and Winnie in the barn. Such opened the wound, but the following poured the proverbial salt in: ABC DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER to show a finale (a better one, mind you) during sweeps week when the finale of "Cheers", perhaps THE MOST OVERRATED show of all time, got all the hype.

I really didn't like the "Three's Company" finale. Phillip and Vicky appeared way too suddenly.

Thats probably my least favorite episode of TC.

FOL had a bad one to.It just made you wonder to much about what happened. At least thats how that episode made me feel.

I also hate any show that doesn't have a real ending. It just ends with a regular episode.I just hate those.

Actually, I sort of like shows that don't have endings. Because you know Arnold & Sam & Maggie & Pearl & Mr.D are still in the apartment on Park Avenue, and that George & Weezy are still moving on up. A lot of finales are horrible though, The TC One Stunk, Along With that Entire Season.

Some Shows Though Really Need Finales, like "The Facts of Life".....since it's about your life, you really shouldn't just end it with a snap of your fingers. But I think that finale sounds horrible!

"Dick Van Dyke" had a very clever finale, which was unusual, because most shows back then didn't have wrap-up episodes. In the last show, Rob completed work on a novel about his experiences as a television comedy writer. Alan Brady read the book and decide to option it as a TV series, with himself starring. It was pretty cute.

I Love Lucy. That episode was not even that funny. The last episode of the Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour was better.
