Default Some surprising News about the Grady DVD I want to share with those who will buy the

DVD

The supporting characters from Sanford and Son make a appearance.

In episode 1, Fred is seen at the beginning of the episode

In episode 3, Merry Birthday, Happy Xmas, Aunt Esther, Woody, and Bubba make a guest appearance

In episode 4, Grady's Night In, Rollo appears by himself

Lamont and Donna are the only character not make an appearance on the Grady spinoff

How is this release crap? They release the series except 1 episode and everyone has a cow. This is so ungrateful because they did not have to release the show at all. We could still be waiting for this show on DVD but thanks to Sony we finally got this gem on DVD!

They never said they were giving us the complete series anyhow. People speculated all episodes would be included but nothing was certain. They may not have the rights to that episode or the tape it was recorded on was destroyed or unusable because the quality was bad. In either case I will take 9 episodes of Grady over nothing. Let's at least be happy that the episodes are unedited and in great quality. If this was a crappy set then the episodes would be edited and the quality would be horrible. I refuse to pay for butchered episodes but will pay a fair amount for unedited episodes.

Here's to hoping we can get Sanford Arms and Sanford from the 80s on DVD as well. I would love to see the All in the Family spin offs on DVD too. Let's get 704 Hauser St and Gloria on DVD for goodness sake! The Facts of Life just got a complete series release a couple of years ago so let's get Diff'rent Strokes complete on DVD.

So many classics that need to get on DVD so let's not be rude when they are released differently from what is expected. As long as the episodes are uncut I am content with any DVD release.

It's crap because out of the 9 eps the two crossover eps should have been included. Instead we only get one of them. And out of the 9, three of them was already o. YouTube

So yes it's a crappy release

Although I'm disappointed it is not "complete", I am still happy they released it at all. I have been waiting YEARS to see another series "One in A Million" (with Shirley Hemphill). While I would hope they release that "complete" on MOD, I would be happy with anything they put out at this point. All of this stuff is super rare and no one ever thought we would see the day they put it on dvd. I hope they continue with shows from this era.

I would also LOVE LOVE LOVE for them to release "Gloria". It was a cute little show that made me smile. I just wish they would speed it up and release a bunch of them monthly. LOL!

You seem like a very unhappy person. 1 episode missing should not make this a crappy release. Consider the fact that this is a very rare show and be happy that someone finally released it.

Who cares if 3 of them were on YouTube several people did not see them when they were on YouTube. I happened to be one of them.

So what that they missed the Christmas episode! The released it as close to complete as possible when other studios did not even do that.

They never advertised it as the complete series so what is your deal. If they had the episode they would have included it.

Saying you are disappointed in one episode being missing is okay but to call it a crappy release is uncalled for.

Because that was the best epof the series

3 characters from sanford and son make a guest appearance. They could have left off the episode that's on youtube which is when grady learns how to drive

So yes its a stupI'd release

I am pretty sure they did not leave that episode out on purpose. You have not given one solid reason for why is the crappy release other than your petty petty petty personal reasons.

This is actually a great release because no one else is releasing this freaking show to DVD. Your ungrateful attitude is the reason these studios do not release shows on DVD that much anymore.

Where else did you expect to find Grady on DVD if this company did not release it on DVD. Think about that!

I'm not happy either. It's incomplete and overpriced. I know it's MOD and I could understand paying $30 for a full 24 episode season like with Family Matters or Growing Pains, but just 9 episodes that's ridiculous. And I demand an explanation from Sony as to why they left that episode off.

If the christmas episode was included I would have paid the 30 with no problem. I would even paid $50

I think we can all agree about the price. I can at least understand where you are coming from all the other guy on here complaining is completely unreasonable. He said he would pay $50 if the missing episode was included, hell I wouldn't even pay $50 even if the only missing episode was included.

The missing episode is not that big of a deal since they never said they would release the entire series. Chances are they are missing that episode.

I agree about the price but that is it. Fussing about one missing episode is sort of petty. We get 9 25 minute episodes of this rare series that may have never been released otherwise.

I watch a Grady episode everyday and the show is pretty good! I will be happy with the 9 episodes included and see if I can find the missing episode through trade or ioffer type sites.

Grady aired on TV Land for a bit so someone must have the Christmas episode recorded.

Grady only aired one time on TV Land, in August of 2002. It was part of Norman lear 80th birthday celebration. That's the main why that episode is on youtube
