I was pissed off at ABC for canceling China Beach, Life Goes On and Twin Peaks, and i was equally pissed off at NBC for canceling Santa Barbara!

I wish ABC hadn't cancelled All My Children.

In 1969 my family was chosen to be a "Nielson Family". For the next six months we jotted down the TV shows we watched on a diary that every family member was given. Each week the diaries were sent to AC Nielson (Which provided the pre-payed mailers). When the six months were over I was a bit dismayed. Why? Because 1969 went down as the year the number of shows I (and the rest of the family) watched that wound up getting cancelled was A BIG FAT ZERO!!!

I personally hated NBC for cancelling Café Americain. It was a show with Valerie Bertinelli. I wrote multiple letters begging for its comeback. Guess they didn't listen.

Yes. I really hated ABC when they cancelled One Life To Live and All My Children. I have never really forgiven them for that and refuse to even watch the shows that replaced them, especially The Chew.

Oh come on, I'm sorry but I remember watching Sunset Beach sometimes and the acting wasn't very good and the storylines/plots were ridiculous.

Yeah I know I've been angry and hated a network when they've cancelled one of my favorite shows. But I've always gotten over it, it's just a TV show after all.

I believe Sunset Beach ran opposite The Price Is Right in my viewing area too.

NBC really didn't give Sunset Beach a fair chance. They kept moving it around the schedule, didn't give it much promotion and canned it at the first chance. They also really tried to kill Santa Barbara and Another World for years too. |

NOW, the exception to this is that in some local markets "SB" was carried at other times due to stations airing newscasts at 12noon. In my area NBC aired "Sunset Beach" originally at 3pm where it competed against GH on ABC and GL on CBS. And then at one point they tried airing it at 2pm against OLTL and ATWT. So it is entirely possible that in some areas it aired against TPIR. |

Sunset Beach ran at 10am in my area, while TPIR was on at 11am.
I liked SB. It was like Passions, a parody of soaps. |
