Default Carney on Carson 7/16 & 7/17

For those of you with Antenna TV:

Gleason's Smokey and the Bandit co-star, Burt Reynolds, appeared in the same episode.

Any chance that it will be revealed when Art (as Ed Norton) peeled an orange as well as when he came through the Kramdens window as Ed Norton? I never saw these interviews. I also don't have Antenna.

I spoke to a guy who recorded this. Art did not mention any bloopers but he has an original copy of this episode with original commercials and he will check that copy.

From what I am reading, all of these Carson shows on Antenna TV are complete unedited shows.

Perhaps had this interview occurred after the Gleason 1985 interview the story would be fresh in Carson's mind & then they would have discussed it.

The search continues...

Carney's interview was disappointingly short, but funny. Johnny did mention The Honeymooners at the end, but I guess they didn't have enough time to discuss it further with all the other guests.

I just spoke to that guy who has the episode from its original broadcast. Much like he said before, no bloopers were discussed but the first aired broadcast does include Art playing two songs on the piano where were edited out on Anteena TV (possibly due to clearance issues). Sad that antenna said these shows were going to be uncut yet that showed an edited version of this episode. I think they said if there was a clearance issue, than the episode wouldn't air until the issue was resolved.

Here’s the presumably uncut broadcast from tubi tv

https://tubitv.com/tv-shows/545836/s...ynolds_9_26_74

It says that Art plays September Song that was not shown on the Antenna TV reruns.

It’s not uncut. I just checked tubi tv and it is the same exact version that Antenna uses.

Here’s the original airing that has the original intro

I know this was 1974 but man does those graphics in the start look primitive now.
