In 1975 I can understand it because it was no way for her to talk to him on a daily basis and most of the communication would have been by letters

But today Florida would have had Face time and Facebook making the distance a little easier

Even back then without facebook and face time if it meant a financial boost for the family then you let him go

I think James Evans Sr faked his death, due to a nervous breakdown, caused by a self-righteous wife, and high pressured lifestyle.
