Who are your favorite members of a band who only lasted 1 or 2 albums?

I'm assuming we're talking all musical styles because you didn't specify.

I'll start off with John Rich. He started out as a member of country-pop band Lonestar. They'd been playing together as a band a few years by the time they released their debut album which had several hits. Then abruptly between their debut and second albums Rich decided to leave the band and go out on his own. He's released some solo stuff but is mostly known as one half of the country pop duo Big and Rich which has also been highly successful. He's a good singer and songwriter, although maybe a bit too outspoken and overconfident at times. It's interesting though that with him Lonestar was a five man band but after he left they never replaced him and just stayed as a four member group. And it's also interesting that Lonestar had their biggest hit with Amazed which was a country and pop crossover hit after John Rich left the band. But I hate that song by the way. I think it's a too over the top power pop ballad but to each their own. I think Big and Rich are releasing a new album later this year.
