Default Check out this guy's opinion about MeTV

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bJPqnzAS0yc

Now, I don't care for about 99% of of the programming in this channel but I got to say this.

He says he hates the logo on screen. That I can understand. I think it would be better to not have anything on the screen.

He also says at METV is a liar because they put paid programming in place of programs that they say will play at a certain time and that over half the programs that are on that station's website, they don't show. When a person responded by saying that that was the affiliates fault and not the network, he still called the station a liar because they shouldn't advertise what might not be shown. Uh, does MeTV still say in the fine print notation "On most MeTV stations"? also, how can MeTV get ratings without some sort of advertising without editing shows and without crunching credits?

Also, I think he complains about the amount of commercials which causes them to edit the shows and the way they deface the closing credits if you know what I mean. Doesn't MeTV still show the credits full-screen for all their shows without any ad voice overs? I know they time compress some a little bit sometimes to the point where the music makes an audible jump. Also, doesn't MeTV still Show the same amount of ads? I know they do edit the programs.

I don't really have much of a problem with the logo on screen. It's better without it but it doesn't really bother me. What bothers me the most are credit crunches and split screen credits which Antenna TV. If this guy made a video like this about Antenna TV's horrible practice of crunching credits then I would agree with him 100%.

For the most part, ME-TV does have ****ty programming and only has a watchable schedule on sunday evenings from 10pm to 1am

The Odd Couple
Honeymooners
Cheers
Bob Newhart
Mary Tyler Moore
Taxi

They can't compete with Antenna TV

Antenna takes 3 breaks now. There is one after maybe about 10 mins., a normal break, then another one about 25 mins. after.

I don't recall that I will watch that tonight. I only remember one commercial break after opening credits, another one after 11 mins and then the commerical break when the episode ends

In my own opinion, MeTV is an awesome channel that gives us some cool classic programs. One thing about it though is the paid programs. You'd think they'd just play regular scheduled programs instead of Paid programs. For example, MeTv tells me Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley are coming on at 3:00 and 3:30 P.M. on Sunday afternoon. I go to turn it on, they have paid programs on. It makes me angry

Antenna TV's programming is OK , ain't nothing to write home about. It has a few good shows I watch, but generally MeTV is better

The thing is that MeTV doesn't carry paid programming. That is the your local affiliate doing that.

It's your local affiliate, not MeTV that is airing paid programming during those times.

Unfortunately, Frank beat me to the punch but he is right regardless.

Trust me, we know. You tell us every time it comes up.

MeTV doesn't crunch the credits, so the guy in the video must be confused. The logo onscreen is really, really minor, seeing as how 90% of the networks use them (except for Antenna TV, interestingly enough). In a 500-channel universe, it's to be expected.

I sometimes tune into Newhart or Family Ties occasionally, but I'm usually watching classic shows on DVD . As for the summerthons , it depends on what show it is.

To be honest, I'm not crazy about Me or Antenna anymore. Besides the main annoyance of Antenna crunching credits, they can't seem to change their primetime lineup much. Norman Lear shows have dominated it since day 1. I like those shows but they've run them into the ground. I'm also not a fan of Johnny Carson. I tried watching him a couple of times but he just didn't appeal to me and I didn't find him funny. At the moment, I'm enjoying Family Ties on DVD. With Me, they keep their schedule too much the same for many years and only make small changes to it each time they change. I'm not a fan of Westerns at all and they've run those into the ground. Most of the shows on there I like I already have complete on DVD, which would be I Love Lucy, Andy Griffith, Gilligan's Island, Brady Bunch, and Laverne and Shirley. The only others I really like are Happy Days and Get Smart, but I hope to get those on DVD as well. I occasionally watch a weekend marathon on Decades if it's a show I like, but that seems to be rare, and they really have nothing on I like during the week.

Between Me and Antenna, I watch the former a lot more, mainly the Sunday night "Last Laugh" block and the detective shows during the late night hours.

Antenna does run a lot of stuff into the ground, esp. the Norman Lear stuff. I know All in the Family and Good Times et al are classics, but they've run continuously on one station or another, since they were cancelled in the late-70s. I like that they're offering a little more variety here and there with stuff like Mork and Mindy.

I'm with you on Johnny Carson. I gave the show a few shots but I could barely sit through the Intro without having to change the channel.
