...than the original SBTB series?
All 20 members of this series are all having their own successful lives on careers, families and marriages so far right now after this series ended successfully. Even if they had some problems, no matter what size they are, they know to overcome them than most of the castmembers of the original SBTB series, IMO. |

Hang Time is a great show! And being that it's also a TNBC show like Saved By the Bell, I suppose they draw some natural comparisons. But if I were going to judge TV shows on the future careers of their stars, I would have to eliminate a lot of favorite shows because there are plenty of TV shows where people became overnight celebrities which quickly ended as soon as their show did.
(Like say- Daniella Deutscher, for instance. Or Megan Parlen. Or Adam Frost. Or a lot of the cast of Hang Time, actually. But it is true that I haven't heard of any of them being in trouble with the law or having any other such scandals- unlike some of the SBTB cast, unfortunately.) I trust all the cast is doing well and working good jobs- perhaps in the acting field if they're still pursuing that. But a cursory glance of the IMDB page for Hang Time seems to indicate that most of the cast do not seem to be doing much acting anymore. (Which is sometimes by personal choice, of course.) I personally like Hang Time, but I haven't seen it since its original run on NBC. I don't know if it's even been in reruns anywhere; it certainly hasn't gotten any DVD releases unfortunately. You're welcome to your opinion that it's better than Saved By the Bell, of course- but I would have to disagree. I don't necessarily think Saved By the Bell is so much better- but the show and cast are certainly much better known in general (with perhaps the exceptions of Dick Butkus, Anthony Anderson and Jay Hernandez from the Hang Time cast.) In any case, I like both shows just fine. It would be nice to see Hang Time get a DVD release so I could watch it again- it would be great to see more clean sitcoms like that available for teenagers. And plus, the show is centered on basketball- one of my favorite sports!

Some of the former Hang Time castmembers that are no longer acting might considered permanently retired ones, nothing else.

Daniella Deutscher, Megan Parlen, Adam Frost and Amber Baretto are the first ones to start off as trouble-free celebrities permanently to talk about.

Another reason why this show should return back air rather than the original SBTB class series:
"Peter Engel's relation with the rest of the entire Hang Time crewmember group is 100% permanently both underrated and underlooked, unlike with the entire original SBTB class crewmember group". TBH, IMO. |
