Default The Cut "Swimming Scene" From "Goodbye Alice Hello!"

Hey Guys,

Someone at www.bradyworld.com has paraphrased the dialoge cut from "Goodbye Alice Hello" regarding the "X-rated Swimming Pool" This scene WAS included in all syndicated versions of The Brady Bunch, but was cut from cable/syndication in the mid 80's. It has never reappeared. The dialoge from what I can remember is pretty close to the actual scene, anyway, here it is, very close as we will proably get to the original scene:

I will try my best to paraphrase the dialog cut from "Goodbye Alice Hello" regarding the
"Swimming Scene"
Alice sees Bobby and Cindy in their bathrobes and Bobby says,
Alice we are going swimming at the new neighbor's house."
She askes, " Just a minute,Bobby are you wearing your new bathing trunks or the ones with
all the holes in them?"
Alice looks at his robe and gasps, "Your not wearing your bathing suit, your wearing your
birthday suit!"
Bobby says, that his new neighbor friend's dad is a doctor, and Alice says
"He must not have much of a practice if he can't afford bathing suits." (This quote I
remember exactly)
Cindy then says something like, " But Jimmy's dad (or whovever the guys name is) says the
neighbors swim like this all the time cause it's healthy for your body.
Alice says, "Well so is orange juice, but you don't go swimming in it!" (I remember this quote
exactly)
Bobby says, "But Alice!"
Alice says, "You are not going to swim in an X-rated swimming pool without your parent's
permission!" "Upstairs!"

I remember that scene. I wonder why they cut it out? I remember another scene that was a little strange: when Marcia lost her diary and Mike went to a used bookstore to find it, I thought that scene was really in bad taste when the book store worker made a reference to Mike having a thing for Marcia. If they are going to edit episodes, I wish they'd edit that one! The birthday suit one was pretty innocent compared to the other!

All the episodes are edited to put in more commercials. Both of these scenes are pretty innocent (they made it past ABC's censor in the early 70s), and I don't think they were singled out for content.
