Default DVD sales are through the roof after Paul Reiser interview on Today Show

Yesterday Paul Reiser was interviewed about the new complete series DVD set released this month and that has sparked a worldwide interest in getting the DVD set. People who had no idea the series was released on DVD want their hands on it. With the cheap price is is being sold for they will not be kept on the shelves for long.

I found this out because I had ordered extra sets from Amazon a few weeks ago so I could give these to friends and family members who are fans of the shows as birthday gifts. When the interview ended I decided to list my extra sets just to see if it made a difference in the sales of the complete series and I was right. Only 2 hours had passed and all 5 of my extra sets were sold for 35 dollars.

If this is any indication of the sales to come then Mill Creek just released their best collection yet regardless of the cheap packaging.

That is all very interesting. This Saturday, I plan on going to a mall that has several stores that sell DVDs. I will see if I can find a place that can see me this set.

I don't really care how cheap it is as long as it contains unedited episodes. Maybe if this works out, and Shout! doesn't want to, maybe they'll release "Benson", "Diff'rent Strokes" and "One Day at a Time". At this point, I don't care if Mill Creek puts these out at cheap, I care more about having them in their entirety. "MAY" isn't an absolute must have for me, so it'll have to wait for awhile.

After reading this thread, I went ahead and purchased it on Amazon. I was going to get it anyways but reading this really made me decided to go for it now.

If I had any talent, I would get two empty DVD cases and put the sixth and seventh seasons into their own boxes (with cover art I design), since I already own the first five seasons from Sony and Shout and I like the look of those individual seasons on my shelf more than this complete series box. Wow, that was a long sentence I just typed, lol.

I want to buy it eventually and it is a pretty good price, I will admit, (not that I'm skipping this, because I'm not) that I'm wondering if Mill Creek will release a Season 6 and 7 set.
