im still a virgin so I can't really give an opinion being raised in a Christian family I believe in holding onto my virginity until marriage

It's definitely better when you're in love! You're doing the right thing autumntiger. Wait until you're in love. And it's even better if your partner is in love with you! One-sided romances can really hurt don't usually work.
