Question Bullies

Have you encountered a bully or bullies? What did they do and how did you deal with them? Non physical tactics that are common bullying techniques include: mocking, name calling and silencing others through intimidation or domination. Physical tactics include menacing or outright attack. What is it about the group dynamic that allows them to easily take control? Have you ever involved an adult to intervene or ask for advice?

Cool

I have been bullied by classmates from kindergarten all the way up to 12th grade. Mostly is was just name-calling and verbal abuse. Most of my teachers did nothing to stop it. I suffered in silence most of the time.

I got the last laugh though. I graduated high school with high honors and went on to college while most of the kids who tormented me barely graduated, if they even finished high school at all!

My brother and I used to get in fights when we were
younger. Now I'm 17 and he's 24. We don't fight very
often anymore, but he wasn't really the bully because
I usually started it. It's kind of funny because most
big brothers are the bullies and not the little sisters.
I was 7 and he was 15 when we really didn't get along

I was bullied alot from kindergarten all the way to the end of grade eight. After that year my mom and dad were going to seperate, so I moved with my mom away from the torment of the school. My dad moved from the town a year later when the house sold. I hear some people say that small towns are nice, but actually I prefer living in the city. I have never been bullied as much in the city as in the town. The teachers at my elementary school didn't do much about it, either. In grade one people called me mental just because I was a quiet kid. And, I had to deal with name calling, bullying, everything since the first day I walked into that school. Luckily, I don't have to worry about those days anymore. But, I find that being bullied as a young child has made me a stronger person nowadays. And, if anyone bugs me now I just tell them to screw off. That's my attitude towards jerks and bullies. Sometimes I even because now it just seems childish to do bullying to other people. And, I just believe now that anyone who trys to be a bully to someone is stupid because they're making a statement about how they are as a person, which would probably mean that they are a low life and don't have the brains to think of something better to do with their time. Also when I was alone with a friend in elementary school she was nice, but as soon as she was with this other girl she made fun of me. I never understood people like that. Has anyone else had friends who were bullies towards them when other people were around, but not if both of you were alone?

I used to get teased and pushed around all through elemenatary and parts of middle school mainly because I was scary and the kids new it. But that stopped in 7th grade thankfully.

OMG no Karli!

I have a brother who's 12, so I bully him sometimes too, but like you said, they deserve it.

And I actually disagree with the bullying is worse in a small town than a city. There is like almost no bullying here, contray to Chicago where I saw it happen to a lot of people all the time.
