Did Disney's Zootopia lose one of it's voice actors during production of the movie?

When I was learning about the newest Disney movies I heard a rumor that one of the voice actors that was featured in Disney's Zootopia is no longer living and according to what I learned it was the actor that provided the voice of Nick Wilde's sidekick/partner Finnick in Disney's Zootopia and I would like to know if it's a true fact? I didn't know that Disney's Zootopia lost one of it's voice actors when the film was made until I discovered this fact

I heard that John Candy was supposed to be in Pocahontas, but he died in 1994 so it is possible.

That was Tom Lister Jr. and he's alive as far as I know. I couldn't find anywhere online anything about his death! Hopefully he is alive and well!

So Tom Lister Jr. is still living after all? Because when I first read about Tom Lister Jr he really captured my eye and when I saw the character Finnick he was so cute and I never knew Tom Lister Jr. did Finnick's voice in Disney's Zootopia. Finnick is my fourth favorite Zootopia character and I like him so much that I got a plush Finnick character for my birthday
