Never heard of that before! Just what did Facebook tell you? Did you get an email notice from them? Or wouldn't they let you sign in? No explanation?

They just said I was restricted to posting things for 24 hours. I can post something on my wall or make a comment...now I can't get on because I need malware protection!

But I'm using a library computer!

I may give up Facebook soon if this keeps up!

I believe this can happen if someone reports a post that you made.

Since I'm not sure why you were suspened:

15 Reasons Your Facebook Account May be Suspended / Disabled / Banned

https://geek.ng/2012/01/15-reasons-y...ed-banned.html

Inside the posted website above--you can read about the reasons that I will post below:

Quote:
1. Using a fake name

2. Posting on walls in rapid succession

3. You’re sending too many friend requests

4. Posting offensive updates and pictures

5. Posting duplicated texts in too much messages

6. You’re poking rather too much

7. Your account is a potential risk to other facebook users

8. You’re liking too many fan pages

9. Suspicious payment information

10. Affiliation with a Doubtful Organization or Page

11. Having more than one account

12. Facebook profiles are only for humans!

13. Using a fake date of birth

14. Posting copyrighted materials

15. Getting reported by rather too many people

Now for 24 hour restriction. it could be just a security measure:

Quote:
Why do I have to wait 24 hours to access my account?

After you complete a security check, you'll have to wait 24 hours to log into your Facebook account. During this time, your account will still be visible to your friends on Facebook, but you won't be able to access it. This waiting period is an extra security precaution we set up to protect your account and the information in it. We appreciate your patience with this security measure.

https://www.facebook.com/help/186388591410463
Or this could be the resaon

Quote:
I am trying to deactivate my account - why is Facebook telling me I will have to wait 24 hrs before logging in when I reactivate it?

We’ve noticed that this isn’t the first time you’re deactivating your account. While we want to make sure you have plenty of options, it can be confusing to your friends when you disappear. Try taking advantage of your privacy settings to control who sees your information.

If you still want to deactivate your account, next time you reactivate it you will need to wait 24 hours before logging in. Just follow the same reactivation process as before. When you log in, you will see a clock showing you how much longer you have to wait. We'll also send you an email when this 24 hour period is up.

I'll try Facebook at the library again. If it says I need malware protection, I'll have to wait until Mothers Day. And I have to fix my mom's tablet.

Most public website access (such as libraries), may not have proper protection against Malware....you might tell the library attendant the trouble you are experiencing....(probably won't do much, but you never know)

[Malware Checkpoint for Facebook[/B]
10 July 2012 at 09:20

Over the past few months Facebook Security has been focused on helping our users stay free from malware. Malware, short for malicious software, are programs installed on your device to disrupt normal operations, collect personal information or gain access to a system. For the past couple years, we have developed systems to proactively identify spam and other malicious content posted on Facebook by user devices infected with malware. After we identify a possible infection, we will notify the user and provide, free of charge, an anti-virus product capable of cleaning the user's device. Now, we are pleased to offer these tools directly to the people who use our service. If you are concerned that your device may have been infected by malware, you can visit http://on.fb.me/infectedMSE or http://on.fb.me/infectedMcA to be self-enrolled in either our Microsoft Security Essentials or McAfee Scan and Repair malware checkpoints.

This April, to help protect our users and their devices from viruses and malware, we launched the Facebook Anti-Virus Marketplace to provide free anti-virus from the industry's leaders and made significant enhancements to our external blacklist system to bring our users even better protection against harmful websites that may download a virus directly to your computer. And last month, we made changes to our mobile reporting flows and introduced Code Generator for Android to bring even more of our safety and security features to mobile. Finally, we partnered with external computer security teams to notify affected users if they have been infected by DNSChanger to help these people ensure continuous connectivity.

Previously, if you suspected you may have malware installed on your device, you would either need to run anti-virus on your device or wait until Facebook identified an actionable threat. Now, with our new self-enrollment malware checkpoint, you will be able to proactively obtain your choice of a free anti-virus product to scan and clean your system.

We currently offer two products for all of our users: McAfee's Scan and Repair and Microsoft's Security Essentials.

The McAfee option will download a small program onto your Windows computer to perform a one-time scan of your system for malware. It will not interfere with your existing anti-virus or other security products. After it scans your system, it will give you the option to automatically or manually remove the files it flags as malicious.
The Microsoft Security Essentials option is a full anti-virus product. Upon download and install, it will add anti-virus software to your computer that will continue to protect your system with the latest anti-virus signatures from Microsoft.

We hope that by making our technology available to more users, on demand, will help all the people who use our service keep their data and devices secure. You can find more information on keeping your information safe on the Facebook Security Page and the Security on Facebook site.

well obviously someone reported you for being "too sexy" and you now have less than 24 hours to "tone it down" and wear something more matronly so the Facebook elite can keep it together.

You might want to reread my previous comments

First you need to figure out WHY you were suspended?
(If you could post it, then you might be able to get help)

If it is Malware, then try this :
http://on.fb.me/infectedMSE or http://on.fb.me/infectedMcA
(From my previous post)

Might be able to help, but you would have to post what Facebook is telling you.

Oh No Now I Give Up!

Looks like I can't use the library computer to get on Facebook...I'll have to get a computer of my own and I don't have the money to get a new computer.

I tried to click-on those pages, but I need to log-in but I can't because I need malware protection but I'm using a library computer so I can't install anything...looks like I'll have to use a church computer!

I might as well make a new Facebook Page! Why does this **** HAVE To Happen To Me?

PS-This is the message I got...

Quote:
It looks like your computer is being affected by malware. We’ll help you fix the problem to keep your account secure and prevent malware from spreading to friends. Malware is software that tries to steal personal information and causes problems when you use Facebook. Clicking or sharing links that contain spam can give your computer malware.

Default Update...

Yesterday, I went on Facebook and I got on successfully...but it was on another computer. My Social Worker let me log-in to Facebook and I got on!

But today when I went to the Library...I still got this!...

It most likely is the library computers--you might want to tell a Librarian or person in charge of the library computers, the trouble you have been having using their computers.
