Seven Years and Counting

As most of you probably know, this entire series has been uploaded onto You Tube multiple times. In the past, I have compared it to other pieces of media that get uploaded in terms of how long they tend to stay up. There are some videos that tend to get taken down within a day or two after they get uploaded. However, "Gimme a Break!" episodes tend to last. Another thing that I have written about is that I have the whole series on DVD that was imported from Canada. Prior to the time that that set became available, the only season that was available in the United States was the first. I had posted a bunch of message about how much I would like to get reacquainted with later episodes. By this stage in the game, I had already written quite a bit about my memories of "Samantha's Protest". I had not seen this episode since 1986, and I was bursting to see it again! Another poster on this board saw my thread and uploaded the episode for me. I was so happy! This was seven years ago and the upload is still up there. Another episode that I am quite fond of and that got uploaded shortly thereafter was the "Emergency". The original upload of that is still there! This was back in the days when it was difficult bordering on impossible to upload a video that was longer than fifteen minutes. That is why these episodes had to get uploaded in three segments each. At this point, the whole series has been uploaded with one video per episode. I am just amazed that the originals are still there after all of this time!
