June is portrayed as a very classy person. Would she have been as classy if she had long hair?
What do you think made June classy? |

I don't think it was her hairstyle that made June classy. It had a lot more to do with who she was as a person. Her attitudes. Her values. Her beliefs. These things may have been reflected in the way she dressed and the way she wore her hair. But it was these core values that were the source of her class.

June was cool, she was classy without being snooty or cold! She was a sweet, lovely lady!

I love this topic! I grew up in a very Texas country family, a lot of rednecks on one side and southern belle church in ladies on the other side. I'm always pulled in different directions. But, I look up to June as a very classy lady. I'd like to think of myself as the southern June. I even cut my hair shorter, and yes, that helps actually. My hair is about a tiny bit longer than hers in season 5 with the flip. I've done a 60s flip and it's cute. It actually helps to keep your hair out of your face when you are dealing with children, cooking, cleaning. I've noticed her nails are kept up very well, sometimes with the polish. And she doesn't seem to ever be in a hurry. I imagine if the character was real, she'd be taking her time with her housework and getting herself prepared, which I could actually emulate staying home and being a homemaker myself. To put a little more effort into things, by taking my time.
