On the plan that I am on, I get a lot of networks that show syndicated episodes of old shows. However, it has been quite a while since any network that I can pick up has shown episodes of "Gimme a Break!". In any event, last weekend, I was flipping through the channels and came upon an episode of "Bewitched" that was made in 1965. The first thing that I would like to mention is the fact that this show's lovely little Lauri Hendler was born in 1965. For those of you who might not know, Lauri Hendler's character of Julie was my favorite character on "Gimme a Break!". I would now like to mention an interaction that I had with a fellow poster on You Tube. This is when I was still able to post messages on that site. I called up the episode called the "Emergency" and read a post by somebody who commented on the pay phone scene. I thought that Nell's interactions with the busy body on the pay phone were hysterical! I asked the other poster if he agreed. He wrote back with "of course. That witch got what she deserved. Go Nell"! This poster was clearly saying that he thought that for this lady to have to chase down her purse served her right for being as selfish as she was and not letting Nell use the phone. In this context, the word witch was used to describe a mean or insensitive woman. "Bewitched" was a show about a woman who practiced witchcraft. I find it very fitting to post a message about a show about one witch on a page dedicated to a show that featured another witch!
