If the entire series was colorized then it would take the excitement and event away from watching it on TV twice a year.

Regarding the petition I created/started, in addition to signing it, I'd appreciate if it was shared, too. Not only on Facebook, but Twitter, also, for I'm not on Twitter. Every little bit helps, right? Spread the word, via other forms of social media, and other message boards/forums, that you're a member of. Please remember to include the petition link. Thanks in advance.

So do I. Besides, careful attention is being paid to colorize these handful of episodes we've seen aired in color over the last couple of years. If CBS were to quickly do the entire series as this petition is requesting, they would no longer have the ability to spend the time and effort needed to maintain the high quality and accuracy. In other words, it wouldn't be done right and we'd all be dissatisfied. Let them keep doing what they've been doing.

I don't care to buy the colorized version. Black And White shows are meant to be viewed as they are: In Black And White, not color

I totally agree. Watching any nostalgia from the 50s "gussied up and colorized" just takes away from the authenticity. I prefer the b & w but for those obsessed to see ILL in color I hope this option becomes available.

The only reason why I Love Lucy is in color is because the younger generations stand to watch black and white. Which is sad because they dismiss any Tv show In black and white, unless it's restored in color. It's kinda sad that the younger generations won't watch a show unless it's in color

Their loss. But maybe it's a millenial thing. As a 60 yr old, I remember a time before smart phones, automatic colorization, fancy computers etc.

Of course living without these gadgets today really puts you at a disadvantage- but my technology is rather basic for 2016: a clamshell cell phone and an iPad 2.

I remember when it was a big deal to have a color TV; in the 1960s only one family on my block had one. Watching ILL in color would feel antiseptic to and would kill the charm and nostalgia that comes with a treasured viewing.

That's why most shows filmed in black and white are better in black and white than in color

I completely hear you. I was born in '82 when technology was just getting started really good. We didn't even own a VCR until the early 90s. Still to this day, I like things simple. "New" doesn't always mean "better".

I do enjoy watching the color Lucy episodes but I don't want to own them on DVD or Blu. I just like to watch them basically to see how they look in color and ts great to see Lucy back in prime time.
