Default Hypothetical Spin-offs of "Leave it to Beaver"

So it's January 1962. You are head of Kayro Productions in a staff meeting with producers and tasked your team to come up with a title of a new series spinning off the "Leave it to Beaver" and a theme. What would have been your idea?

My input would be centered on Eddie and Wally and other characters in college living near campus in the frat house "Alpha Kappa" (which was introduced in season 6 where Ward mentioned he was a member). Eddie would be the main character...always getting in trouble...while Wally would be the straight person. The name of the show would be ......

"Eddie the Fratboy"

Great thread idea!

How about Lumpy, upon graduation, joining the Mayfield Fire Department and working with Gus. Hilarity would have to ensue! It just needs a title.

How about "Leave it to Lumpy"....starring Burt Mustin.....and Frank Bank as the Lumpy!

Another spin-off could take place after the kids left the house and the plot centers at Ward's workplace. Fred would be the character making trouble or messing things up while Ward would act as the straight person. Similar to the "Andy Griffith Show" where Barney Fife was the funny character while Andy bails him out and acted as the straight fellow. I would title the show...

"The Hugh Beaumont Show."

Good ideas!

What if Larry returned, and his mom found out she's the aunt of a ward of a famous millionaire. Larry's sister and Mr. Mondello have both mysteriously disappeared, so Larry and mom, now going by her maiden name of Cooper, move to Gotham City and into a stately manor. The show then focuses on Larry's efforts to prove that Bruce and Dick are actually Batman and Robin, despite his clueless mother's objections. His suspicions, of course, are always confounded, usually through the machinations of Alfred the butler.

That's right, I remember seeing Larry mom on the 1960s Batman series! And Larry is the right type to be generating stories (like the stories he made up when he had to find money in his yard to treat beaver to the carnival.

It could have worked! Especially with the LITB references. I can see a frustrated Madge Blake exclaiming, " Mercy alive, Larry! Bruce and Dick..Batman and Robin! Who else would dream up such silly stories! This is just like when we lived in Mayfield, and you and that boy...oh, what was his name...would dream up those far fetched stories!"

This sounds like something right out of Mad Magazine. I can picture Larry pestering Batman and Robin in the Bat Cave. And Batman constantly yelling at Larry for leaving apple cores lying around.
