Default World's Meanest Mom EVER

I bet this 15-year-old daughter, probably wished that her mother had thrown away her "ice cream" when she was younger.

Quote:
ALMELUND, Minn. —

A Minnesota woman is calling herself the "World's Meanest Mom"after attempting to teach her teenaged daughter a lesson.

The Dodge Ram parked at the end of Amy Adams' driveway is a teen dream, but not for much longer.

Amy's 15-year-old daughter, whose learner's permit next month will change to a drivers license, will find herself without a truck by then.

"She was on her 'one more chance and the truck was getting sold,'" Adams said. "She blew that 'one more chance' on Monday when she decided to skip school."

Fed up, Amy listed her daughter's truck on Craigslist, selling the pickup while advertising the punishment.

The ad drips with sarcasm but Amy says it's also drenched with truth, challenging the idea that parents need to act as friends.

"Where's that going to leave them five years from now, ten years from now, when they're walking around disrespecting the wrong people?" Adams asked.

She's since received hundreds of responses to the ad. More them half of them were from other parents commending her.

"I hope she realizes that it's okay to discipline your kids, and it's ok to have expectations, and it's okay for them to have consequences." She also hopes her daughter will eventually appreciate her tough parenting.

When her daughter learns those lessons, Amy says the money made on this truck, will buy her a new car.

The original ad read:

So, because I’m the World’s Meanest Mom, and my 15 year old daughter has decided that her grades don’t matter, that she can disrespect myself and her siblings on a daily basis, and that she has the right to skip school and run away from home, I currently have every teenage kid’s dream vehicle up for sale (because it’s titled in my name, I can do that, you see).

1998 Dodge Ram club cab. SLT, 5.9L V8, 158,xxx miles. Runs and drives decent. Lifted, and on 35’s, and comes with a full size matching spare. Previous owner cut off exhaust behind catalytic converter, so unless you enjoy breathing exhaust fumes, and migraines on a regular basis, I’d suggest replacing that. I was quoted $350 from John at Forest Lake muffler about six weeks ago.

It also needs a windshield, was quoted $250 from Greg’s Glass in North Branch. Has typical Dodge body rot meaning the rocker panels are completely gone for the most part, but has a brand new battery and alternator. I’ll even throw in the brake pads that I have sitting here, since that was my next project on it.

Heat is hot, ac is cold. Shifts smooth, and drives as well as anything lifted on 35’s. Kelly Blue Book in fair condition is $3321, so my price reflects windshield and exhaust quotes. Feel free to make me a REASONABLE offer, snd we’ll talk, but I don’t want your XBox, or your 80cc dirt bike that’s currently sitting in milk crates because you bought it as a project, and only got as far as taking it apart…

If the person driving the truck on a daily basis will be attending North Branch high school next year, you will get a $300 discount. Why? Because I AM the World’s Meanest Mom, and would love for her to be reminded every day next year of all of the mistakes she made…
Email only. Thanks.
Title is clean.

I wish more moms were like both of these moms. Ice cream mom was correct in wanting her kids to say thank you. My parents make me say it all the time. This mom was correct because a car isn't a requirement. In fact I don't believe teens should have a car unless they work for one, too many parents spoil them. My parents made me get good grades and say thank you. I didn't get a car, I had to work for one.
