Default Re: Favorite Guy

Lucas - Dorothy' husband. Dorothy was finally happy w/out her mother nitpicking at her.

Myles - Hones to Rose, but admitted to cheating on her in Golden Palace.

Stan - Once, a yutz, always a yutz.

Bill the Pharmacist - He was too bring. JMO

The little guy that Dorothey dated that had a curse on him that made him irresistable to women. Forget his name.

But I'm going to have to pick the yutz. Herb did a great job w/ the charracter and he was always trying to get dorothy to fogive him. They even got back together and almost got married. Deep down inside, I think Stan really meant well, but always fell too easily into temptaion.

I liked "The Zipper King" that Blance dated. He seemed so unlike her, but they always had fun...

Mel Bushman was his name, I think...

I also thought the guy Sophia married was funny... I can't remember his name, however. He was the one who was Sal's partner in NY, and covered for him when Sal gambled the money away.

WHAT WAS HIS NAME?!?!?!

MAX WINESTOCK!!! Yea, he was a good match for Sophia. I remember when he was in the shower w/ Dorothy and he thought it was Sophia! "Let's play connect the dots" Then he walks out naked and Dorothy, Rose, and Blanche are looking at him! I love the look on Dorothy's face!

I like Stan because he always makes me laugh. Everytime
he knocked and Dorthy answered the door...he'd say "Hi
it's me, Stan" (as if she didn't know). It never ceases to
amuse me.

Most definately Stanley Zbornak. The comical entrepreneurial ideas he comes up with and needs $2,000 from the girls is always hysterical. Too bad the actor that portrayed Stan has died (sorry I couldn't remember his name!) because he was a very funny character. The great episode where he buys the car that says "Pothead" on the license plate instead of "Potatohead" and Sophia states "Stan, Can I be pothead?", because she loved the car, is the single most Laugh out Loud moment on TGG.

Herb Edelman was his name. According to www.imdb.com , he died July 21, 1996 from emphysema.

I caught the episode where Rose dated the midget. Blanche came into the living room with hors d'oerves, and said "Shrimp?" She then made a complete U-turn and headed to the kitchen.

Then the guy wouldn't date Rose anymore because she wasn't Jewish. Ain't that just weird??

......My Favorites were Stan and Uncle Angelo! They were soooo funny!!! Especially in that episode when Angelo thought that Blanch and Rose were real nuns!

Smile

Had to vote for Myles. He was the only boyfriend that lasted on the show for any length of time!!! Sophia's wannabe-hood boyfriend, Rocco (played by Mickey Rooney) was also good!!!

I remember him from Another World. He played the character of Wallingford, who was good friends with the characters of Felicia Gallant and Cass Winthrop.
