I have a laptop and a tablet, but I use the laptop more often. The laptop is my "guilty pleasure" device for shopping, social media, and games.

My current laptop is an HP which is adequate at best. My tablet is a Dell, and I really like it. I bought my husband a newer Dell tablet for our anniversary and he LOVES it. My next laptop, which will probably be purchased this summer, will most likely be a Dell.

Hey, some of us have to type with all of our fingers, you know.

For example, I find it difficult to type with all of my fingers with a tablet, and you definitely can't type with all of your fingers with a smartphone. This is why I am not willing to own a smartphone (or possibly a tablet, also), and am more comfortable with a laptop or desktop computer.

It is harder to type on a tablet than a laptop or desktop, I'll give you that. I would only need a laptop or desktop these days for word processing. Or maybe in the future get an upgraded tablet with keyboard as an accessory. But yes, the keyboard is not quite dispensable yet.

I don't know how you could go wrong with anything from Hewlett Packard as far as laptops go. See what laptops they offer these days. Windows just sucks though. I love iOS much more these days, and my Android phone is quick and responsive as well. Don't want anything to do with Windows anymore.

I at times would like a laptop but I can't shuck out $$800.- $1,200 for an Apple. I have a Apple Desktop, Apple Ipad and Apple Ipod touch. If I bought everything Apple made, I would be out $5,000. By the way, does anyone know, if one can do a KEYNOTE presentation off of a IPAD. I have a presentation and don't have a laptop.

This past November I bought a Camcorder (which was never used) at a yard sale. Breaking this device in, when I tried to upload this device in I discovered the HD that was in this camera was bigger than the HD in my computer! mg: Since "the Holiday Season" was fast approaching, I looked around for a laptop which was 0ffered for a bargain price. I found a one at "uncle Wally's". It's a HP 15-f233wm, and it's HD is nearly 20 times the capacity of my old computer! $250.00 took it away! I still have the old PC, I use it to play games.

Was it around the holiday season??? I think that I will look, this summer, at what Walmart has. And I'm looking at selling a bunch of my stuff on eBay like DVDs and books and stuff that I never use anymore. Summer cleaning, guys!!! I need the money more anyway.

I don't mind the tablet that I have although I will say its a pain to type on it. It takes forever and plus the touch screen is annoying because you end up in a different site sometimes because you touch one site and end up in another.

I'm thinking of getting a Chromebook soon. No Windows if I can help it.

I'm thinking of getting a laptop and/or a tablet.

Both can be as cheap as $100.

Bumping this because I do really need a new laptop. I might begin looking at Wal-Mart for deals.
