Maybe some of you heard this over radio, but there was a broadcast in which the listening audience was asked what point in time they would like to go back to so as to listen to a particular performer or concert.
What would be yours? (It seems a majority of people alive today would choose some time in the 60s when it was a significant point in the history of modern music). http://www.wnyc.org/story/musical-time-machine/ |

A few times:
Pre 1920'S: It could be interesting to hear artists like Scott Joplin on something other than a radio. WW2: Swing during the war. 1955: I'd love to see Bill Haley hit #1 and all the complaints about Rock and Roll. 1964: Beatles on Ed Sullivan. 1977: The Sex Pistols. I am glad I was alive when MTV and grunge took off. |
