Default CNN the 80's makes no mention of these sitcoms at all? lol

Amen

Archie Bunkers Place

Benson

Different Strokes

Facts of Life

Gimme a Break

Head of the Class

Newhart

Silver Spoons

Webster

What's Happening Now

Now I know they can mention all the shows but you would think out of this list above atleast two of them would have been mentioned during a 2 hour show lol

The retrospective had shows from other genres that broke grounds, so they were likely unable to fit everything in a two-hour timeslot.

I figured St. Elsewhere would be included. It is like the best 1980s show.

While popular at the time, none of those shows you listed were groundbreakers or regarded widely as classics from the era compared to shows like Cheers, The Cosby Show, Hill Street Blues, St. Elsewhere, Dallas, etc

The Facts of Life was groundbreaking for women, especially young girls questioning their sexuality, minority girls, and women who are struggling with their weight.

Being one of the longest running sitcoms and the longest running FEMALE sitcom to date.

I have to agree, Small wonder was stupid and managed to get referenced but not a show on NBC for damm near a decade

Is Different Strokes considered a 70s sitcom because it premiered in 1978? If they did a 70s edition then it most definitely should have been included.
