When I was recovering from surgery when I was young my dad brought me a VHS tape of a cartoon series that aired in 1997 that was called Sky Dancers and I would like to know if you remember this cartoon? The Sky Dancers cartoon was based on a line of toys that were made by a company called Galoob Toys and the Sky Dancers cartoon was created by Abrams/Gentile Entertainment. When I got my VHS tape of Sky Dancers I didn't even realize that there was a cartoon based on those toys

When I first saw the Sky Dancers cartoon on video for the first time I was amazed at how well the Sky Dancers cartoon was animated and it had great episodes with awesome storylines. I also played with Sky Dancers dolls and I still have them in my childhood toys and speaking of Sky Dancers dolls Galoob also made Sky Dancers dolls of the characters in the Sky Dancers cartoon too. Sky Dancers was a great cartoon of the 90's and is also on DVD as well

Hi Bestie! Was it my imagination or was the Sky Dancers drawn by the same company as Jem and the Holograms? Yes, it was a good cartoon and they should rerun it. Todays cartoon are drawn so ugly. Thanks for reminding me, Bestie

Jem was produced in Japan and a collab between sunbow and marvel.

Sky Dancers was produced in the US by galoob and abrams gentile inc.


They are fondly remembered for the toy recall because little girls were getting their eyes taken out by the things.

There have been DVDs of the Sky Dancers cartoon that feature episodes from the Sky Dancers cartoon and here's some facts about the Sky Dancers cartoon that just might interest you
1. The characters Jade Camille and Angelica were brand new female characters exclusive to this cartoon but Galoob Toys made them part of a line of Sky Dancers dolls based on the cartoon series
2. There also are two male Sky Dancers also exclusive to this cartoon
3. A character named Queen Skyla who is the headmistress of the academy where the Sky Dancers learn about different things has a unique story. It is rumored the Queen Skyla got inspiration to start the academy after her husband King Skyler passed away to honor his memory. And if you watch the Sky Dancers cartoon you can see the ghost of King Skyler appear in some episodes
4. Like every cartoon Sky Dancers has a villain too and the villain is the Sky Clone and his gang who will stop at nothing to prevent the Sky Dancers from going on adventures
5. The Sky Dancers cartoon had three different theme songs but the DVD sets uses the first theme song for it's episodes
In addition to Sky Dancers cartoon episodes the first volume of the DVD also features a clip of the first ever Sky Dancers balloon appearance in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade which appeared twice in the parade with commentary by former Today Show weatherman Willard Scott
