So many arguments and shouting - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Ive found in many American sit coms there is so much domestic fighting such as arguments and shouting at each other. Especially in King of Queens and Raymond. Is this type of behaviour normal in the USA? It gets laughter from the audience which makes me very concerned what sort of society finds this humorous. This type of abuse is disturbing. Why is it acceptable and passed uff as comedy?

No one I know (or want to know) in anyway enjoys these blood-thirsty killing machine graphic
carnage-driven horrorfests on film. How can you find it tragic and terrible when you read it in
the news and then run out that night and pay up to $15 to see stomach-churning, bile
inducing visuals on the same subject??
