Charo's age

I heard a radio show this morning in which the performer "Charo" was mentioned.
I guess a lot of people who regularly watched TV in the 60s and 70s remembers Charo who was famous for the same reason Jennifer Lopez is famous today, for being a very sensual Latina. Charo actually did not have much performing talent but just appeared on variety shows or talk shows and said funny things in her accent, or overdid her wiggling and jiggling. Perhaps it can be argued that she had a bit more talent than J.Lo.

Nevertheless when I used to see Charo back in the 60s, she looked like she was in her mid 30s at the youngest. She did look healthy but she did not look like she was in her teens.
In Wikipedia, it states that her birth year is 1951 but goes on to mention that it is questionable if this is her true birth year.
If so, she is a year younger than David Cassidy. I think I saw Charo on the Carol Brunette show sometime in the late 1960s. She did not look like she was 17 or 18.
Jay Leno , Karen Carpenter, Stevie Wonder and Dr Phil were also born in 1950, or reportedly.
(It is hard to believe that Dr. Phil is the same age as David Cassidy and Jay Leno. He really seems older).
