Default Myles Webber/Nick ????

OK, we found out that Myles was really Nick -- he'd just been hiding out from the Cheeseman.

So, why did Rose continue to call him Myles once she found out his true name?

And... did Myles just drop off the planet at the end? I don't remember him in the final show or anything. Was he on Golden Palace?

Thanks for the info...

PS -- I'm glad to see how this board has grown so much in the past few weeks!!!!

Well, Rose called him Nick only once. And I have no idea why he continued to call him Miles. The last episode he was in was when Sophia stole the Pope's ring and he was in the hospital for cosmetic surgery. He also did appear in Golden Palace. He was getting married and Rose was planning the wedding, but didn't know it was for him until later on. He also revealed that he cheated on Rose all the years they were going out. I really thought that that was a bad way to end their relationship. I mean cheating all those years cheating on poor Rose.

And yes, I love how this board is growing also! I used to come here and it was so slow, and now I enjoy coming here seeing the new posts everyday!

That little sonofa......

I can't believe the writers of the show did that. That's ridiculous!!!

Rose should have chosen Buddy over Myles.

Actually, Miles (Nicholas Carbone) appeared in three more episodes after The Pope's Ring they were, A Midwinter Night's Dream Parts 1 and 2 and the final episode he was in was Rose: Portrait of a Woman.

In the fall of 1992, Miles was in the 6th episode of Golden Palace, called, Miles, We Hardly Knew Ye. This is the episode were Rose discovers Miles having the affairs.

Then in the 13th episode called Rose and Fern, Rose helps a woman plan a cow-themed wedding and learns the groom is Miles.

I find it odd that Miles was not in the 2 part episode, where Rose has a heart attack.

I have to admit, NF would be a good choice as someone similar to Rose. I guess I can just see her being like Rose/Betty.

And yeah, it was odd that Miles didn't come to the hospital. Could be that with the girls, plus Rose's daughter, plus the whole action of the episode was too much stuff and to add Miles would have taken away.

Just a thought.

That thought also had occured to me, that having Myles there would have taken time away from the other characters. After all, it was the second last episode of the series.

Also, we finally saw the much talked about Janet, who was much younger than I thought she should have been.

Old post, but I'm guessing force of habit. I mean, did anyone see the FOL reunion? Why did the girld keep calling Enda Mrs. Garrett? She got married and was now Mrs. Gaines. So it's most likely force of habit.

No, I think he actually says he met the other woman (Fern) about "six months ago," meaning six months back from when the episode takes place. I don't think there's anything about him cheating for "all the years." I've said this on many posts, now, but on GG it's Rose who goes back and forth about him.

Although, if Golden Palace starts not long after Golden Girls ends, he could have been involved with Fern by the time Rose had her surgery.
