How many episodes were actually recorded of DS?

I know I havent seen them all, I live in the UK so I can only see DS on Trouble, they show DS at totally in-appropriate hours and I nearly always miss it.

What was the last ever episode about? When was that recorded?

Hi, it's good to see someone else from the UK on here.

Trouble E-Mailed me saying that they could be showing the final 3 seasons in the future.

There was a total of 189 episodes, the last one "The Front Page" was in 1986- I think in April but I'm not fully sure.
