One thing that I have been accused of many times over is harping on the topic of how good Julie looks in boots. I have no problem admitting that this is something that I tend to obsess about. You can blame it on anything from my disability to lack of other things to do or even think about. It really does not matter anyway. What does matter is that, this morning, I watched an episode of "Friends" that also pertains to the same topic. This is another situation in which those of you who do not watch friends and are not familiar with the characters or the situation will have to improvise in your minds what I am on about. The first thing that you have to understand is that all three of the main female characters on this series have worn boots at one point or another. The second thing is that I find the way that all three of these babes look in boots to be almost as good as the way that Julie looked in hers. In any event, at the start of this episode, the character of Ross got a promotion at work. He wanted to celebrate, but could not afford a bottle of wine or champagne from France, Italy or anywhere else that the reputable companies are. He ended up settling for some type of vanilla flavored beverage from Israel. A little later in the episode, we have the character of Rachel coming through the door of the apartment of Monica and Chandler saying that she had just gotten a very decent job offer from Louis Voitton. Ross, who happened to be in his sister's apartment at the time said, "I think this calls for a glass of Israel's finest"! While Rachel was making this announcement, she was wearing an outfit that consisted black leather boots and a short skirt that was a type of dark gray in color. I thought she looked like true centerfold material! I thought it was very fitting for Ross to offer Rachel some of Israel's finest while she was wearing boots. This is because, when I see Julie in boots, I feel that I am looking at Glanlawn's finest!
