JUANITA ADAMINA February 17, 2016 AKA "Jo de Winter", talented actress, loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and, recently, Great-Great Grandmother died on 1-17-2016 after an enriched life of 94 years. She is survived by her daughter, Robyn Shaffer. Her credits and contributions as an actress were substantial. She first came to Hollywood when she was under contract with David O. Selznick. Later, after working in Europe, she was the original Nurse Ratched in 'One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest'. She worked with the prestigious Old Globe in San Diego for several years under Jack O'Brian and continued to work with him on projects after that. She made her Broadway debut in 'Children of a Lesser God' that originated at the Mark Taper forum in L.A. She continued with 'Shadow Box' and 'The Killing of Jablonski' to name a few in this illustrious career. Her television credits were numerous as well. She was in the groundbreaking 'Name of the Game' with Charles Boyer and Gene Barry, 'Soap', 'Frazier', 'Murder She Wrote', 'Gloria' with Burgess Meredith and Sally Struthers, and so many more. Her most recent contribution was the independent feature film 'Monday Nights at Seven' that is due to be released this year. She has had the privilege of working with such esteemed directors as Clint Eastwood, Hal Ashby, Martin Ritt and Sidney Furie. She enriched everyone's life that she touched and she will be sorely missed for her ferocious curiosity, vitality, incredible mind, and contagious and infectious love and lust for life, and all the pleasures that it offered which she enthusiastically embraced throughout her time here. |

Why the sad face? 94 is one hell of an age to live to. So many, especially children who pass on so young, don't come anywhere near that. RIP

There's no more proper place to use
than a death notice. It's true that age has nothing to do with it. Rest in Peace Jo de Winter. |

Jo de Winter also played advice columnist Libby in the 2nd-aired episode of The Brady Bunch, "Dear Libby". RIP
