There was an article written saying something along the lines of, "It's okay to order a Double Grande Moccachino with double shots of espresso and two shots of extra vanilla shots and double shots of whipped cream at Starbucks when there is a line of 10 people behind you." That just pissed me off. It did nothing but further the Entitlement and self centered mentality of today. So damn sad and frustrating!

I don't frequent Starbucks (or any coffee place for that matter), but I don't see anything wrong with this. Someone should be able to order whatever they want and are willing to pay for. I would not alter my order, and accept less than what I came there for just because there happened to be a line of people behind me.

To be fair, You've Got Mail was released 18 years ago...
Lots of things were cheaper back then. Oh, and an iced Mocha coffee "short"(8 ounce) is still $2.95 today.

I was addicted to the Moca Frapp. I think I had to go through the 12 Step Program.

$2.95 for a cup of coffee. No way I'd pay that. Especially for Starbucks, which tastes like a very bad version of Cafe Bustello. You all might think me loony tunes, but I rather enjoy Maxwell House Instant coffee and Sanka.
IMO Starbucks is very overrated. If I'm desperate for a caffeine fix the most I'd pay is $1.50. |
