Has anyone else noticed that Janet spoke with a slight Brooklyn, NY accent in the first few seasons of Three's Company?
Joyce DeWitt and the Janet Wood character are from Indiana, so I'm not sure what was going on there. For example, in "Stanley Casanova" when she's telling Mr. Roper that Mrs. Roper saw him kissing the girl, Janet says, "Yeah yeah, she saw you" with a NY accent. Is it just me? |

I haven't watched the show in years but I don't remember any Brooklyn.

Okay, well maybe it's just me....I just thought she had an accent in the early seasons. Very slight but it went away by Season 5.

Yeah I did notice an accent of sorts for example in "Alone Together" from season 2 as Janet and Chrissy are teaching Jack ways to exercise, Janet starts off saying "you grab one of your feets" pluralizing instead of "you grab your foot".

Mace Dolex--yes! The accent is very slight, not pronounced at all, but it seems to come and go throughout those first few seasons. Not even sure if it would be Brooklyn, just def not California.

In episode 1, where she says to Jack "does it have to be all one colour," you can notice the New York accent there.
