Default Anybody have Plans for Valentine's Day??

Because I sure don't. I have never gone out on Valentine's Day. Shows how little the opposite sex feels about me. Friends? Yes, some nice girls that I know. Anything else? Not a chance. I dont know it just seems like girls never looked at me in that way. I know some people might snicker or laugh at the fact that I havent had a girlfriend or a date or a kiss but it sucks for me.

People say about how they get worried about being alone for the rest of there life. Not me. Thats because I have always been alone. I mean, have I had family, like my mom? Of course. But sometimes you want somebody to spend romantic holidays with like Valentine's Day or to kiss someone on New Year's Eve or to kiss somebody under the mistletoe.

I just hate being alone and thats why Valentine's Day is just another day for me.

I plan to eat a whole box of chocolates and watch "Unsolved Mysteries"!

I will most likely attempt to ask this girl I like out on Valentine's Day. Although it'll be rather difficult, I think I can handle it.

We will be going to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse, and then seeing a movie (Deadpool).

I already sent out Valentine cards to my Sons, Father and Sister. I plan to buy a couple more to hand out to some friends! Just fun, casual, friendly valentines. And I bought a romantic valentine for my husband! And since it falls on a Sunday, he will be home. Not planning to go anywhere special, just a usual Sunday, but I'll make a nice dinner ! !

Don't give up the search, there's probably a girl out there who would love to go out with you on Valentine's Day.

I have to work at the restaurant Sunday and we'll be busy. Maybe I'll get some good tips. We plan on going out Monday evening for our Valentines Day.

My advice is don't feel bad about it, count your blessings, there are advantages to being alone.

I've lived alone almost a year now since splitting with my ex-girlfriend. I admit it's lonesome at times, but I focus on the positive and appreciate what I have. I've got a nice house, I have complete freedom now and can do what I want when I want, I don't have to please anybody except myself. I'm going to be 55 this year. If I ever meet someone new, it's going to be on my terms, accept me as I am or don't accept me at all. I'm set in my ways, staying true to myself and not changing anything about myself for anybody. And nowadays, there are many phony people around who'll pretend to be your friend, then drop you for no reason. I'm not dealing with people like that anymore. Only those who are sincere and know what the meaning of being a true friend is. I have trust issues, and right now I don't trust anyone except myself. Being alone, I avoid heartache and disappointment from others, which has always happened to me in the past whenever I involved myself with someone. So the heck with it, I'm better off alone unless the real special woman comes along, and I doubt she ever will. OK, end of sermon.

That true but I don't know if I will ever find somebody. I agree about having some me time and having freedom but it gets lonely and it hurts more days than other.

There's a saying circulating around on the internet, it goes something like this: "Guys, love your woman as if another man is working 24/7 to take her from you." My god, if that's how it is, then forget it. Why torture yourself and live in constant fear that another man is working to take your woman away? No woman is worth putting yourself through that torture. You can treat her well and do all the right things, and she'll still leave you. It happened to me, once is enough, I couldn't handle it if it happened again. Being single can be lonely, but at least I now have peace of mind. Friends with benefits sounds like a good option to me. Date someone and have a good time, but don't get emotionally involved.

Don't believe everything you read on the Internet. If you find the right woman, there is no fear, it's about trust, I've been married going on 21 years and I've never worried about my wife wanting to be with someone else.

That's good if you've been married 21 years and have a wife you can trust. Fact is, some people are lucky in love while others aren't so lucky. I'm one of the unlucky ones. The relationship I was in ended after 12 years. Is it possible she just wasn't the right woman? Maybe. Will I ever FIND the right woman? Perhaps but I doubt it, I'm very skeptical. Maybe when I least expect it.

You never know, and trust me, I don't take any of it for granted, especially seeing some of my friends getting divorced.
Hey, that how it happened for me, when I least expected it, but in the mean time if you can see the bright side of being single, then that's good.
