Default Quick Question....

How do I walk up to a girl I like and pay her a compliment?

I seem to be exhibiting some difficulties in attempting to pay her a compliment. I have tried multiple times to muster up the courage to go and talk to her, but failed every time.

Do you have any tips on how to make this process a little easier?

As the words of Crash Davis in Bull Durham

"Don't think Meat just throw". I'd just go for it! If you think about it you will chicken out every time.

stop building it up in your head and making a big deal about it.

just go up and talk to her like a normal person, be yourself and be friendly.

Depends on how well you know her and if you have spoken to her much.
By your first question, it sounds as if this is someone that you would like to meet and haven't spoken to her.

It might be best to compliment her on her hairstyle and you don't have to be alone with her when you do so. Always SMILE when you are around her and always look directly in her eyes, BUT DO NOT STARE. You never know this might lead to some small talk.

To answer your second question, there is no way to make the process easier!
I can understand WHY you may feel scared to do so, because you are not sure how she might react. Believe me the process doesn't get easier even as you get older.

Back in the 90's, there was this woman who was painting a scenery picture, it was to be used for the backdrop of a product of the company. A fellow co-worker made this statement, "Doesn't she paint a beautiful scenery?" Which I replied, "Yes, she does make it look realistic." One week later I was called into HR (human resources) and asked if I felt his comment was out of line. I told them NO! It turns out that he had been asking her out for the past month and she had filed a "sexual harnessment" suit against him for his comment Nothing happened to him.
So I can understand WHY you might be neverous, but you might find out that she likes you also from her response.

GOOD LUCK

Well, I did approach her and had a small conversation with her, but did not compliment her because I was too afraid to do so. But I am happy that I at least had the guts to strike up a conversation with her.

You have taken the first step.....now you need to find out some of the things that she is interested in and see if you have anything in common. Make sure the next time that you see her, to speak with her again.

Here is something you can talk to her about.
Ask her if she likes pizza (chances are she does)
Then ask her if she has ever heard of a place called "BIG LOU'S PIZZA"?
It is the home of the 42 inch pizza (also has a 62 inch)

It is located in San Antonio, Texas.
Here is the website:

Here is a couple of youtube video's.
Go into youtube and type in Big Lou pizza .....
1st one 42 inch, 2nd one 62 inch

What the compliment is is also important.

"You sang that really well" or "You did a good job in school/at work today"=good

"Nice rack"=bad

Do you like pizza?

Good idea, but how exactly would I say it to her?
Would I just walk up to her and say hey (her name) do you like pizza? Or is there a better way to go about it?

BTW: I do like pizza!

Make small talk first and get to know her. I have had random men give me compliments but sometimes it was creepy (like older guys who tell me how hot I am or my chest is nice).

I would just start up a conversation about something small. Ask them how their day is going, etc. and find a way to steer it to the compliment you want to give to her. "You say you're tired, but I think you look great today! By the way, I really like _____ on you!" and just go from there. I don't need to strike up a conversation... I just come out with it. But I do understand the need for needing some extra assistance giving a compliment.
