It's interesting to see the first episode, because it really set the tone for the characters. I was surprised how little screen time Barbara Stanwyck had in the first show, considering what a big "name" she was. And I had forgotten all about Eugene, Victoria's third son.

I happened to see this episode the other day. Never know that Victoria had another son. Really good episode.

I wish it were back on again. My favorite male character was Nick. He was the hothead of the bunch. And Victoria still looked good for her age. Then there was the gorgeous, but little used Linda Evans. And unfortunately its again off the air. Bring back The Big Valley!
