USA Renews "Colony" for 3rd Season
"Colony" Renewed for Season 2 at USA
by Michael Ausiello February 4, 2016 USA Network has renewed its extraterrestrial-esque drama "Colony" starring Josh Holloway and Sarah Wayne Callies for a second season, TVLine has learned. Additionally, the cabler has ordered 13 episodes, up from Season 1’s 10. "Colony", which reunited Holloway with his former "Lost" EP Carlton Cuse, premiered last month to 1.4 million total viewers and a 0.4 demo rating, held steady in Week 2 and at last tally was pulling 1.2 mil and a 0.5. It’s average Live+3 audience stands at 3.4 million viewers. “Carlton Cuse and Ryan Condal have successfully delivered a story that tests the strengths and weaknesses of a society in duress, and the bonds of a family divided,” said USA prez Chris McCumber in a statement. “Colony’s performance across all platforms has been impressive, and we can’t wait to see where the story takes us.” http://tvline.com/2016/02/04/colony-...2-usa-network/ |

"Colony" Renewed for Season 3
by Kimberly Roots April 4, 2017 Bad news for the Bowman family, good news for "Colony": The occupation continues. USA Network on Tuesday renewed the Carlton Cuse/Ryan Condal-helmed sci-fi drama for a third season, TVLine has learned. "Colony" opened Season 2 in mid-January with 926,000 total viewers and a 0.3 rating, and to date has held pretty steady in the demo, posting a 0.3 with its penultimate outing on March 30. “When Carlton and Ryan first pitched Colony, they described it as ‘the Nazi occupation of France, with aliens.’ In a world increasingly filled with uncertainty about authoritarian regimes, Season 3 will forge an even deeper connection with our audience,” Jeff Wachtel, president, chief content officer, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment said in a statement. “It’s a quality show that we know will stand the test of time.” http://tvline.com/2017/04/04/colony-...3-usa-network/ |
