Default Johnny Carson on Antenna TV prevents me from seeing Three's Company and Jeffersons

Since it's 90 mins long I can only see one airing of Three's Company at 11:30pm and one airing of the Jeffersons at 1:30am. Does it really have to be 90 minutes long like it's live and today is 1974? How come they can't edit the show down to 60 mins like they edit sitcoms on the schedule?

People don't want to see it edited. I've seen Three's Company a million times, so watching a 90 minute 1970s Carson episode would be a welcome change in my life.

Doesn't make it right, if they show that Uncut then show everything uncut

That would be nice, but unfortunately I don't run a network. Uncut Carson episodes aren't a bad thing.

Sorry. I'm sure it will be entertaining viewing anyway.

I tried watching him once and I turned it off after about 5 minutes. I found it boring and unfunny. Maybe it appeals to the people of that generation but it didn't appeal to me at all. So I don't see any reason to ever watch Antenna TV again.

It's all about the guests, if I don't know the guests then the show is pointless

I know sherman hemsley was a guest on the tonight show but Bill Cosby was the host

Hmm... Johnny Carson shows that haven't been seen complete in decades or sitcoms that have never left TV?

I could see where you younger people would find it completely boring unless you particularly liked the guests that were on. Cause the monologue was usually poking fun at the world topics that were going on at that time, which if you weren't born yet or you were very young at that time than you wouldn't get the jokes!!! Plus lots of the jokes have to do with Los Angeles in particular, if a person doesn't live out here or never has been here, they might not get some of the jokes either regardless of their age! I agree that they should let us know in advance what guests are on!

Johnny Carson was made at a time when people had longer attention spans. It's a shame these days that normal discussions between human beings no longer interest some folks these days. Entertainers these days seem so over the top and don't seem like real people anymore. These days we think real people make for boring tv.

That is Lawrence Welk! I actually was watching for awhile! I switched over to Antenna and saw Joan Embery , the lady from the San Diego Zoo! (She is cool I LOVE when she is on) I saw the cute Cheetahs and that little poisonous frog she had or whatever it was ! And I watched Peter Falk,(he was Columbo, a popular show back than ,he was a cool guy) ) but I switched the channel on Lawrence Welk, I'm old but not THAT old, he didn't interest me!
