Default Older and Prettier

On a bunch of occasions, I have written about my fondness for actress Hazel Shermet. For those of you who do not know, she made three guest appearances on episodes of "Gimme a Break!" My most recent thread on this topic was called "Hazel's Pelvis". This thread concentrated on her role as the busy body on the pay phone in the "Emergency". I was very surprised to learn that she was already in her early sixties when this episode was made! I thought that, for a woman that age, she was hot stuff! Well, on this very day, I watched a movie called "Ricki and the Flash". For those of you who may not know, Meryl Streep starred in this film. In my opinion, Meryl Streep is one babe who looks even hotter in her later years and Hazel Shermet did in hers! This movie was made last year and Meryl was even older when she starred in it than Hazel was when she appeared in "Gimme a Break!". In my opinion, Meryl Streep has even a better figure and prettier smile then Hazel Shermet did when she was in her sixties. I find it amazing how good some older women look!

You really comparing Hazel Shermet to MERYL STREEP in the department of looks???

Meryl Streep has always been a beauty.... but Hazel Shermet???

Whatever... it's really true that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I will agree that Meryl Streep is a very beautiful woman. In my opinion, when Hazel Shermet was of the age that Meryl Streep is now, she was not quite as attractive, but pretty close.

When I started this thread, I compared Hazel Shermet to Meryl Streep in terms of chicks who I thought looked great in their later years. Although I would say that Meryl Streep wins the prize in this department, I would also say that there are a lot of very close runner-ups. In addition to Meryl and Hazel, another babe that I thought looked great in her later years is Cynthia Harris. For those of you who do not know, she played Paul's mother Sylvia from "Mad About You". She is another one who I feel is very close behind Meryl in terms of being an attractive older woman. Right before I came here, I started a thread on that page and called it "Ricki and the Flash". That is because this movie was the first recent film that I saw with Meryl Streep in it. I am now bringing this thread to the top of the page just in case somebody who has read that thread would like to read what I had written about these babes a short while ago.

My original reason for posting this thread was to express how good some women look in their later years. At least in my opinion. Because Hazel Shermet appeared on "Gimme a Break!" three times, I started with her. I then compared her to Meryl Streep who I think looks slightly better in her sixties than Hazel Shermet did in hers. Well, I recently read a magazine about another older babe that is pretty high up their on my priority list. This chick is Blythe Danner. At this stage in the game, she is seventy-three years old. In my opinion, for an older woman, she is slightly behind Meryl Streep and about on a par with Hazel Shermet. For those of you who might not know, she played Will's mother on the sitcom "Will and Grace". On top of this, she has something else in common with Hazel Shermet. They are both originally from Philadelphia.

When I first started this thread, I compared Hazel Shermet to Meryl Streep. I wrote about how, in my opinion, the former looked almost as good in her later years as the latter does in hers. In any event, almost a decade ago, I started a thread called "Hazel". When I came to this page a few minutes ago, to my great surprise, somebody had replied and this thread and it was at the top! I have since responded to this response. Because the topic of this actress has been brought back to the surface, I have decided to bring this thread to the top of the page.
