I am a fan of the Heartland book series by Lauren Brooke and so when I found out that a Heartland show was made I had high hopes of seeing it. But I saw Heartland reruns on Up for the first time I was disappointed by it because the Heartland show wasn't the same as the books and some things were different than what I've read in the Heartland series. Did anyone like the Heartland show and what did you think of it?

I love the Heartland TV show and have seen most of the first 8 seasons. I just wish UP would come to their senses and air season 9.

I saw Heartland Season 1 for the first time because I got it on DVD and I loved Season 1 of Heartland but there are some things that I found very confusing that I have questions that I hope you can answer for me,
1. In the Heartland books it mentioned that Ty the stablehand started working when he was fourteen years old when he dropped out of high school to work at Heartland full time. But in the show Ty has a past and has a personality problem. Why did the writers make Ty different?
2. Mrs. Bell the character who helps Amy and her sister with various tips for taking care of the horses at Heartland is still alive? Why is she still living? Because I remember in the Heartland books Mrs. Bell passed away and her horse Sugarfoot is very sick but in the show Sugarfoot is healthy
4. Why did they change the character Matt Trewin's name to Jesse in Heartland? In the books his name is always been Matt
5. In the Heartland books the name of Heartland's rival stable is named Green Briar but in the show it's a different name? Why did they change the name of the rival stable in the Heartland show?
6. I noticed that in the Heartland show the character Nick has a different name and is a completely different character while in the Heartland books the character is named Nick Halliwell
7. Why does Amy's sister Lou have an American accent in the Heartland show? Because in the books Lou grew up in England and she is also supposed to have blonde hair. Why is the character Lou so different in the Heartland series?
