Exclamation Netflix's "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" To Launch Nov. 25th

"Gilmore Girls" Revival Officially a Go at Netflix; Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop and More Returning
by Michael Ausiello
January 29, 2016

Netflix has officially booked its trip back to Stars Hollow.

The streaming service on Friday at long last confirmed that it is resurrecting "Gilmore Girls", with series stars Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson and Kelly Bishop signed on to reprise their respective roles as Lorelai, Rory, Luke and Emily.

Other returning vets include Sean Gunn (Kirk) and Keiko Agena (Lane).

We have learned that the four-part revival — tentatively titled "Gilmore Girls: Seasons" — begins filming Feb. 2 in Los Angeles.

Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino will write and direct all of the episodes which will consist of four 90-minute installments.

Each installment will represent a different season (winter, spring, etc.) over the course of one calendar year. The new series is set in the present day, approximately eight years after "Gilmore Girls" reached its too-soon conclusion on The CW.

Default Get ready for Netflix’s Gilmore Girls revival by going on the “Gilmore Girls Diet”

http://www.marieclaire.com/food-****...re-girls-diet/

Writer Lauren Valenti lost two pounds going on a “junk food-fueled journey” inspired by Lorelai and Rory's eating habits.

Meet the new characters, including Lane’s twins?, Warner Bros. TV promises closure for Gilmore Girls fans, and Lauren Graham reacts by revealing she stole a jacket from the set in 2007.

Default Lauren Graham: Returning to the Gilmore Girls house “felt amazing”

http://tvline.com/2016/01/29/lauren-...rview-netflix/

Graham says several days ago she and Alexis Bledel "walked onto the set together and — I feel super emotional about a lot of it and I’m afraid I’m going to start crying at every turn — but walking onto that set really felt like something. It felt like a lot of time had passed and it felt like we were just there. It felt amazing.” PLUS: Scott Patterson tweets: “Luke’s Diner open for business."

Michel is one of my favorite characters on Gilmore Girls. Glad to see he's back!! I do believe its going to be hard to do a Friday night dinner without Richard in the 1st episode.

Default Gilmore Girls revival is trying to get Melissa McCarthy to at least make a brief came

http://tvline.com/2016/02/01/melissa...l-sookie-cast/

McCarthy is "really f—ing busy,” says Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, who adds that she’s spoken to McCarthy’s reps about a potential cameo. If McCarthy has an afternoon free, Sherman-Palladino has offered to write a quickie Sookie scene. "Melissa was one of us,” says Sherman-Palladino. "If she has a spare moment to run over [to the set] — even if for just a cameo — we would be totally game. And if it’s a last-minute thing, I would write her in and we would figure it out. That’s the way we left it.” PLUS: Sherman-Palladino recounts how the Netflix deal came together.

Melissa McCarthy Says She Was Never Asked about Appearing In "Gilmore Girls" Revival
February 2, 2016
by Kate Stanhope

Melissa McCarthy, who played Sookie St. James on the family drama for seven seasons, tweeted on Tuesday that she has not been asked to appear in the revival series despite a recent report to the contrary.

"Thanks for the invite, but sadly no one asked me to come back to Stars Hollow. Wish them all the best!!"

Confirmed returning castmembers include Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Sean Gunn, Keiko Agena and Yanic Truesdale.

There is no premiere date set for the revival, which started production Tuesday.

Default Gilmore Girls creator: I don’t want Netflix to release all four revival episodes at o

http://tvline.com/2016/02/02/gilmore...an-jess-logan/

Amy Sherman-Palladino says she hasn’t spoken to Netflix about how the four 90-minute episodes will be released. "My preference would be they would not be released at once, because I feel like there’s going to be anticipation,” she tells TV Line, "and I think the diehard fans would enjoy it more with a little separation. Because the last thing you want is for someone to jump to the last episode and [ruin] it for everybody—which I think would happen, quite frankly, in this day and age of bingeing. So my preference would be to release them at least a day apart. Let people get a little sunlight and go for a walk around the corner.”

by Michael Ausiello
February 4, 2016

Logan Huntzberger, you’re wanted back in Stars Hollow.

"Gilmore Girls" fave Matt Czuchry — who played Rory’s last major boyfriend in Seasons 5-7 — has closed a deal to return for Netflix’s four-part revival, TVLine has learned exclusively.
