I was wondering, what if Bebe Neuwirth never left Cheers and went on to spinoff with Kelsey Grammar?
1. Would there have even been a spinoff? 2. How would the show been different? 3. Who might not of been cast if she was there? 4. Would the show have lasted as long? 5. Would Frederick had a sibling? Anybody have an opinion on these questions? I'm just curious... |

Obviously, the show would be incredibly different. Most likely, one of the female characters wouldn't have been cast.
Let's see... I think Niles would still have been a main aspect of the show. I don't see how Martin could have lived with Frasier if he were still married to Lilith, due to lack of space. Frasier, Lilith, Frederick, Martin, and Daphne... all under one roof? I don't think so. LOL Roz would be the most likely candidate out of all of the characters who prolly wouldn't have been created. Who knows? As for Frederick having a sibling... I bet they would have had more children. At least one more, whether it was planned or not. I don't know if the spin off would have been as successful had Lilith and Frasier stayed together. I think just removing ONE character from the Cheers setting was the best option. I think Lilith and Frasier could get back together, though... it would make a lot of fans happy. Especially this fan.

Frasier: I see. Well, enticed as I am by your honeyed words, I'm gonna need some kissin'. Lilith: Frasier, don't misunderstand. I'm not proposing any change in our relationship. Frasier: Would we sleep together? Lilith: I thought we'd freeze your sperm. Frasier: Is that a yes or a no? Lilith: Natural fertilization isn't practical. I'd have to fly to Seattle every time I ovulate. Frasier: Right, okay. So then, your plan is for me to visit some local doctor, freeze my essence, and then bring it home with you. Lilith: Correct. I'll take mine to go! Last edited by Dr. Lilith Sternin; 04-08-2002 at 08:30 PM. |

I really don't know how things would have turned out, but I gotta tell you, this would be a great idea for an episode.
They have done some pretty interesting stuff with alternate timelines (the episode a while back with Charlotte Ross which showed two storylines hinging on whether or not Frasier bumps into a woman. very inventive) so why don't they do one in which Frasier imagines what his life would be like if Lilith and him were still together, with all of them living in Seattle. It would be a great season finale. |
