I got the soundtrack to the movie Reality Bites three years ago and I noticed something that has always been a mystery to me. When the trailer for Reality Bites debuted in 1994 it featured David Bowie's song Young Americans in it but when I got the Reality Bites soundtrack I noticed that the song wasn't in the soundtrack listing and it seems that The Knack's 1979 hit My Sharona and Lisa Loeb's song Stay {I Missed You**and Big Mountain's remake of the song Baby I Love Your Way were the most popular songs of the Reality Bites Soundtrack that were hits in 1994 when the soundtrack came out. Young Americans was the first David Bowie song I liked when I first learned about the Reality Bites Soundtrack and it's a surprise that this song wasn't part of the Reality Bites Soundtrack,
What was the reason for this? |
